To make efforts for the development of Nepali dance.
To maintain records of the various styles of Nepali dance.
To establish and expand contacts, coordination, and collaboration with local, national, and international organizations related to dance.
To document and preserve endangered indigenous Nepali dances and emphasize their protection.
To encourage communities to preserve diverse traditional dance practices existing among different communities.
To organize seminars, workshops, competitions, and training programs related to dance.
To represent, or cause representation in, international activities related to dance.
To recognize and honor domestic and foreign talents contributing to the development of Nepali dance.
To encourage the younger generation to participate in dance.
To promote national unity and awareness of Nepal’s multi-religious, multilingual, and multi-ethnic character through dance.
To conduct and facilitate study and research on Nepali dance.
To coordinate with other departments and undertake joint activities to the extent possible.
